This one's one of mine. I took it while M and I were walking on the Indian Ladder Trail, and the Helderberg Escarpment.

Though I almost always have these mostly filled out by the time they’re supposed to post, I still almost forgot to finish it. And yeah, I know I haven’t done a fitness post in a while. Soon. There’s a lot to talk about.

This month, I started writing for a publication called Fearless Press. It’s the first writing project I’ve had that’s paid cash money, and not sex toys. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I’m seriously stoked.

I’m still working on the Thirty Days of Kink project, and it’s really taking off. A few people around the web have started the project on their own blogs, and some have given us guest posts in response to the question for Day 1. Former President Teddy Roosevelt was shot on October 14, 1912 while campaigning in Milwaukee. His coat, glasses case, and speech slowed the bullet enough that Mr. Roosevelt was able to finish his speech before going to the hospital to have the bullet removed.
On October 13, 1775, the Second Continental Congress authorized the first fleet of ships, creating the United States Navy.
Mohandas (Mahatma) Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar, India on October 2nd, 1869. “Mahatma” means “great soul”. He was given the honorific for his completely nonviolent civil disobedience that aided in ending British rule over India.
Because he donated $54,000.00 in prize money to the Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King, Jr. became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Great Fire of Chicago erupted on October 8th, 1971, and wasn’t extinguished until October 10th, 1971. A reporter started a rumor that Mrs. O’Leary’s cow started the fire by kicking over a lantern in the barn, but the actual cause of the fire is still unknown. Over three hundred people were killed, and ninety thousand were left homeless.
